Chinese Inner Painting

Chinese Inner Painted snuff bottles were very popular during the turn of the 19th to 20th century. They were often exchanged as gifts. The artwork is applied to the inside of the bottle using an extremely fine right angled brush, the better examples are intricate and have meaning. Many of these bottles have survived, although not many still have their original lids with spoons attached. Have you found a tiy Chinese looking bottle whilst clearning out a relatives house? If so, don't throw it away, even those without their lids are worth something.
